You will not be talking to a call center full of pest experts. Makerlove Pest Control is a referral service, so the person you speak with is an independent local provider in our network.

That provider runs their own business. They know your area, and they do the actual inspection and treatment. Different providers have different strengths, so it is fine to ask plenty of questions.

What Happens After You Reach Out

It goes like this.

• You describe what you are seeing, such as mice, ants, bed bugs or signs of termites.
• Your request goes to a provider who serves your area and handles that kind of problem.
• The provider contacts you to talk through the details.
• They may offer an inspection or estimate, depending on the job.
• You decide what to do next.

Some providers can respond quickly. Others may need a little time. Request a callback to check provider availability if you are in a hurry.

What to Ask a Provider

A good provider will not mind questions. Here are a few worth asking:

• Do you handle this kind of pest in homes like mine?
• What licenses or registrations do you hold for this work?
• Will you give me a written quote before starting?
• What products or methods do you plan to use, and are they safe around kids and pets?
• What does the quote include, and is a follow-up visit part of it?
• How will we know the problem is solved?
• Do you offer any warranty on the work, and what does it cover?

Write the answers down. It makes comparing easier.

You Are in Control

Talking to a provider does not mean you have to hire one. There is no obligation. You can ask for a quote, think it over, and talk to another provider if you like.

Be cautious with anyone who pushes you to sign right away or will not put the price in writing. A calm, clear explanation is a good sign.
